Chair

The profile of the chair is concerned with basic application-oriented materials development from monolithic to hybrid materials and their characterization.

The focus is on systematic research into the interactions between the manufacturing process, the resulting microstructure and the resulting macroscopic properties of the material for use under operating conditions.

For this reason, the chair combines different disciplines, which include materials analysis and materials testing as well as the discipline of materials technology.
